-“My name is Wade Woodmansee it’s nice to meet you.”

How old are you?

-“I am 20 years old, I turn 21 on July 3

Where were you born and raised?

-“I was born in Salvador, Brazil but moved to the United States when I was five because of my parents work. I consider myself to be Brazilian but the majority of my schooling has taken place in the states.”

-“Currently, I am Business Undecided. I am hoping to pursue a major in the business field with an emphasis in either Finance or Marketing.”

-“I am a sophomore, I am finishing my second year here at Ole Miss and loving it.”

What is the university’s greatest strength?

-“I would have to say tradition is our greatest strength although we have recently done away with our most famous tradition, Colonel Reb.”

What will be the university’s biggest challenge in the 21st century?

-“That is a tough question. I could see us struggling to maintain a small town atmosphere with the student population rising with each incoming class.”

If you had to grade the university on diversity and cross-cultural relations what score would you give?

-“I would give them a B-. Simply because you can obviously see the diversity of our student body and faculty just by stepping on campus.”

What is one thing you think needs to be done to improve campus diversity?

-“I would like to see more cultural festivities. Maybe we could have groups or clubs that could connect people of the same nationality then bring those groups together to celebrate the diversity together. It may sound confusing but it’s a simple idea.”
